Nintendo 3DS is getting much love from Nintendo compared to the Wii U console this year and the next, since a couple of games plus the much-loved franchise The Legend Of Zelda are getting follow-ups for the Nintendo 3DS handheld.

Announced at Nintendo's E3 presentation this week marked the debut of The Legend of Zelda: TriForce Heroes for Nintendo 3DS this coming fall. The Legend of Zelda Triforce Heroes is a multiplayer co-op title, allowing up to three players to team up to battle the game.

Siliconera highlights that TriForce Heroes is very reminiscent of an older Nintendo title, Four Swords, because of its gameplay and co-op style, but TriForce Heores for Nintendo 3DS aims to focus more on the story than on the competitive experience. Also, unlike Four Swords, The Legend of Zelda TriForce Heroes will enable online multiplayer so it will be easier to gather multiple Nintendo 3DS players for the co-op. TriForce Heroes for Nintendo 3DS will also have a single player mode, which will have two AI-controlled characters battling aside the main player.

Featuring a three-tier Totem mechanic, TriForce Heroes allows three players to stand atop one another to reach a higher player in the dungeon. It is also interesting to note that The Legend of Zelda TriForce Heroes will enable players to collect and craft different outfits for their characters, their abilities dependent on the clothing equipped.

Nintendo also annouced at the E3 another The Legend of Zelda game coming to the Nintendo 3DS. Originally from the Wii U console, Hyrule Warriors will come to the Nintendo 3DS in early 2016.

The Dynasty Warriors and Legend of Zelda mash-up game is a joint project by Nintendo and Koei Tecmo, and is a confirmation of the prior leaked footage of Hyrule Warriors in Nintendo 3DS version. Released just last September for Wii U, Hyrule Warriors will need a little bit more tweaking before it is officially released for the Nintendo 3DS handheld.

Two characters from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Tetra and King Daphnes, will appear in Hyrule Warriors when it comes to Nintendo 3DS. IGN also reports that those getting Hyrule Warriors in Nintendo 3DS will receive both Tetra and King Daphnes in the Wii U version as well.

Apart from the two new Legend of Zelda games coming to Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo also announced a couple of titles like Metroid and Animal Crossing coming to the 3DS handheld, although Metroid is getting much heat from Nintendo fans as of the moment.
